Best Decks for the Mythical Island Emblem Event

Given that the Mythical Island expansion was recently released, the META hasn't shifted significantly. New cards haven't drastically altered the current metagame, and PvP matches are still dominated by Pikachu ex and Mewtwo ex decks. If you have these decks, they remain a safe choice.

However, there's a growing trend towards using Gyarados ex decks, thanks to their strong synergy with Vaporeon and Misty. For a unique approach, consider building your deck around Gyarados ex, complemented by Lapras and Supporter cards like Leaf, Sabrina, and Giovanni.

Tips for the Mythical Island Emblem Event

To maximize your success in this event, consider the following tips:

  • Calculate your deck's average win rate. The top three META decks in Pokemon Pocket boast an average win rate of about 50%. To reach 45 wins, you might need to play around 90 matches, which means roughly four matches per day over the 22-day event.
  • You can't play event matches once you reach 45 wins. If you're aiming for the final Shinedust mission (50 wins), you'll need to switch to regular PvP matches after securing the Gold Emblem, as the game won't allow further event match queuing.
  • Leverage Mew ex in your event decks. Mew ex is an excellent counter to META cards like Mewtwo ex. If it fits your strategy, utilize its colorless mirroring ability, Genome Hacking, to gain an edge.
