Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts, it's time to rally! IO Interactive has just announced that their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. As detailed on IO Interactive's website, this exciting new title promises to immerse players in an entirely original narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

In Project 007, gamers will have the unique opportunity to step into the iconic shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent and embark on the journey to earn their 00 status. This marks the first-ever James Bond origin story, providing a fresh take on the legendary spy's beginnings.

Back in October, IO Interactive's head, Hakan Abrak, shared insights with IGN about crafting this new origin story. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak emphasized the game's ambition to start from scratch and create a narrative that could potentially evolve into a grand trilogy. He highlighted the significance of building a new Bond from the ground up, specifically tailored for gamers. "It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."

While a specific release date for Project 007 remains under wraps, fans can stay updated with all the latest announcements from the recent Nintendo Direct by visiting here.
