Sony Might Have Soft-Launched the PS5 Pro
If You Squint Hard Enough, You'll See It on Their Website
In a recent PlayStation Blog post, eagle-eyed fans spotted what appears to be a new PS5 design cleverly hidden in an image on Sony's official website. The illustration of the console closely matches leaked images of the rumored PS5 Pro that have been circulating online.
The discovery was made by a vigilant fan who noticed the illustration subtly placed in the background of the 30th Anniversary logo on Sony’s site. This has sparked speculation that Sony might be gearing up to unveil the PS5 Pro soon, possibly by the end of this month. Although Sony has not officially announced a State of Play event for the reveal, rumors suggest that the much-talked-about console could be introduced alongside a major event later this month.

As part of PlayStation's 30th anniversary celebrations, Sony is going all out to engage its community. Players can look forward to a variety of special events, including a free trial of Gran Turismo 7, digital soundtracks from classic PlayStation games, and the chance to "create fun moments" with the new "Shapes of Play" collection. Shapes of Play is set to launch in December 2024 and will be available through direct.playstation.com in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Benelux.
Additionally, Sony has scheduled a free online multiplayer weekend and esports tournaments for September 21 and 22. "During those days, you can enjoy online multiplayer for games you own without needing a PlayStation Plus membership, on both PS5 and PS4 consoles," Sony announced, with more details to follow in the coming days.
