Marvel Rivals Season 1: Mastering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh set of challenges unlocking free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original form. However, not all destructible objects work; only those highlighted in red are capable of triggering this effect.
Locating and Destroying the Right Objects
To identify these objects, use Chrono Vision. This is activated via the "B" key on PC and the right D-pad button on consoles. Focus solely on objects highlighted in red.
Completing the Challenge in Midtown
This challenge is completed in Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be present. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, highlighted in red, that will trigger Recursive Destruction.
Destroy these buildings. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but hitting them repeatedly should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. Once this challenge is finished, focus on subsequent challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
