- Red Dead Redemption, the iconic open-world western, is arriving on mobile devices
- It’s available across all platforms, including both iOS and Android
- Netflix subscribers can also enjoy it completely free through Netflix Games
If you had told me a decade ago that we’d eventually be able to play Red Dead Redemption on our phones, I would have laughed. Now, Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that their acclaimed open-world western is coming to mobile devices, with the release date set for December 2nd!
Originally launched in 2010, Red Dead Redemption marked Rockstar’s successful revival of their earlier title, Red Dead Revolver. By blending the familiar Grand Theft Auto-style open-world gameplay with a compelling spaghetti-western narrative, it quickly became an instant classic.
In this game, you take on the role of John Marston, a former outlaw turned bounty hunter who must capture his old friends to earn his freedom. While many argue that Red Dead Redemption 2 is the superior entry in the series, I’d have to ask: does the sequel feature a single-player DLC where you battle zombies? Exactly!

Deadeyed
The standout advantage here is that, unlike some highly anticipated mobile releases such as Cult of the Lamb and PowerWash Simulator, Red Dead Redemption isn’t locked to a specific subscription service. This release brings the game not only to next-gen consoles but also to iOS and Android devices on December 2nd.
Netflix Games subscribers certainly get a great deal, enjoying full access without any additional cost. Whether you’re playing on console or mobile, you’ll experience the most polished version of this modern masterpiece!
