Dubbed Star Wars: Zero Company, this new title is being crafted by the newly-established studio, Bit Reactor, with assistance from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. The game promises to deliver a unique gaming experience as a "single-player turn-based tactics game," blending strategy and the rich universe of Star Wars.

Bit Reactor, founded in 2022, is a strategy game studio composed of industry veterans who have worked on acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it was known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this announcement marks the first time concrete details have been shared about what to expect from Zero Company.
The extent of Respawn's involvement in the project remains somewhat ambiguous. Respawn has faced significant challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, coupled with widespread layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.
