Get your webslingers ready, because Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is swinging back into theaters for a limited weekend run this fall, thanks to Fathom Entertainment.
The event kicks off on September 26 with the original Spider-Man, followed by a special treat the next day. On September 27, theaters will present Spider-Man 2 in a brand new 4K edition of the extended cut, now officially titled Spider-Man 2.1. This marks the first theatrical screening for this version, which features restored deleted and extended scenes. The trilogy concludes on September 28 with showings of Spider-Man 3.
“The phenomenal success of 2002's Spider-Man was instrumental in launching the modern superhero film era. Tobey Maguire's portrayal of the iconic character continues to resonate with fans of all ages,” Ray Nutt, Chief Executive Officer of Fathom Entertainment, stated in an interview with Variety.
“At Fathom Entertainment, we are dedicated to celebrating fan culture. I'm thrilled that 'Spider-Man 2.1' in stunning 4K will make its big-screen debut—a true gift for longtime devotees and an exciting discovery for new audiences.”
For those who miss the initial weekend or simply want to experience the adventure again, encore screenings will be held the following weekend from October 3 to October 5.
