Clash Royale's research shows a decline in Christmas card popularity: six in ten adults receive fewer cards, and a staggering 79% are indifferent. Over 40% even hope this trend persists.
To tap into this "festive fatigue," Clash Royale is hosting a unique London pop-up at Boxpark Shoreditch. Attendees can shred unwanted Christmas cards in exchange for in-game rewards, providing a guilt-free alternative to simply discarding them.
But the anti-Christmas sentiment extends beyond cards. Clash Royale's survey reveals that one in five people are tired of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," while over 20% have publicly voiced their disdain for Christmas music or opted for beef instead of turkey.
The anti-Christmas theme even extends to Clash Royale's content creators. YouTubers, such as Orange Juice Gaming, are receiving hilariously awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers), but with a twist: the gifts are wrapped in custom Clash Royale paper containing in-game rewards for fans.
