The Battle of Polytopia has introduced the fiery Solaris tribe to mobile platforms, following its earlier release on PC. This scorching counterpart to the frosty Polaris tribe is ready to set the Square ablaze!
The Solaris Heats Up The Battle of Polytopia
The new Solaris skin transforms the icy landscape into a fiery inferno, turning snow into ash and tranquil lakes into bubbling lava pools. While it's technically the same tribe, the Solaris has shifted from their chilly strategies to more explosive tactics.
This update also includes some intriguing lore, connecting to an eternal war that's devastating entire worlds. The Polaris tribe had previously encountered the enigmatic Gaami, but the situation is escalating with the introduction of the Ralmi.
The Ralmi, fire-wielding invaders, have emerged from underground and are now targeting the Square. Their initial move is to enslave the Solaris and spread their fiery magic across the land.
Solaris' Unique Abilities
The Solaris tribe brings a range of innovative abilities to the game. They can convert water into solid lava, altering map navigation. Units like the Pyro burn everything in their path, while Ash Archers can turn enemy troops to stone.
For rapid movement, the Steam Wagon can traverse lava rivers. To expand your empire, Lava Banks allow you to generate stars by igniting the terrain. You can see the Solaris in action in The Battle of Polytopia below.
Master new skills like Heatwork for creating craters, Geothermics for harnessing volcanic power, and Explosives for added drama. The Ralmi introduce their own set of challenges with the Tuagama Lizard and Igmina Crystals.
