The first public test server for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is now live, offering an early glimpse into the eagerly anticipated Update 7.0. In a community update, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have shared the preliminary patch notes for the PTS version, which encompass most of the features planned for Update 7.0. However, they caution that the final patch notes may vary as the team continues to refine the game and address bugs.
For PC players participating in the PTS, Update 7.0 brings a wealth of new content. A fresh PvE mission titled "Exfiltration" has been added, alongside a new secondary weapon, the Inferno Pistol, available for the Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes. The update also introduces prestige ranks in PvE and the ability to set up private PvP lobbies.
Warhammer 40,000 enthusiasts will appreciate the new customization options, including Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue colors, Bulwark cloth recoloring, hands recoloring, and a 50% increase in customization rewards in PvP. The PTS also introduces an Imperial Fists Champion skin for the Tactical class and a Space Wolves Champion skin for the Vanguard class.
Significant balance changes are also part of this update, notably an expanded weapon arsenal in PvE, allowing all classes a broader selection of weapons.
