Square Enix Details Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Features

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Version Detailed: 4K, 120fps, and More

A new trailer showcases the extensive features coming to the PC port of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, launching January 23rd, 2025. Initially a PS5 exclusive, the highly-acclaimed title is finally making its way to PC, bringing with it a range of enhancements.

The PC version will boast support for resolutions up to 4K and frame rates of up to 120fps, alongside "improved lighting" and unspecified "enhanced visuals." Players can expect three graphical presets (Low, Medium, High) for optimized performance, and a customizable NPC count setting to manage CPU load.

Beyond visual fidelity, the PC port offers comprehensive input options. Mouse and keyboard controls are included, alongside full support for the PS5 DualSense controller, complete with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Nvidia DLSS technology is also implemented, though AMD FSR support remains unconfirmed, potentially impacting performance for AMD GPU users.

Key Features of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Port:

  • Resolution & Framerate: Up to 4K resolution and 120fps
  • Visual Enhancements: Improved lighting and enhanced visuals
  • Graphical Presets: Low, Medium, High, with adjustable NPC count
  • Input Support: Mouse and keyboard, PS5 DualSense controller (with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers)
  • Upscaling: Nvidia DLSS support

The robust feature set aims to deliver a compelling PC experience. While Square Enix's PS5 sales figures weren't spectacular, the PC release presents a significant opportunity to expand the game's reach and potentially boost overall sales. The addition of features like DLSS and high refresh rate support should appeal to PC gamers, making this a highly anticipated release.
