The Spring Festival is now live in Marvel Rivals, featuring a variety of free rewards up for grabs. Naturally, the highlight of the Fortune & Colors event is the free outfit for everyone's favorite space outlaw. Here's how you can claim the free Star-Lord skin in NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals.
How To Unlock the Free Star-Lord Skin in Marvel Rivals’ Fortune & Colors Event
Similar to the Winter Celebration event, players must collect a special in-game currency to advance in the Fortune & Colors event. This time, the currency is called Danqing and appears as a paintbrush alongside a container of red paint. You can earn Danqing exclusively by completing event challenges in the new Clash of Dancing Lions mode, as well as in Quick Play and Competitive matches.
While the standard challenges may rotate, the event-specific tasks remain constant. Below is a list of all the Fortune & Colors quests currently available:

Once you've collected enough Danqing, head over to the event pass to start unlocking rewards. The Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin is available for 900 Danqing. While this amount may seem steep, the Fortune & Colors event runs until February 14th, giving players plenty of time to complete challenges and earn the skin.

How To Try the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane Skin in Marvel Rivals Without Earning It
If you're not keen on grinding but still want to try the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin, there’s a workaround. The Clash of Dancing Lions mode—which plays similarly to Rocket League but with a superhero twist—only allows three characters: Star-Lord, Black Widow, and Iron Fist. All three come with Spring Festival skins, so jumping into the new mode lets you test them out.
If Clash of Dancing Lions wins you over and you decide to collect all three skins, your next stop will be the in-game store. The Dancing Lions bundle includes the Iron Fist Lion’s Gaze and Black Widow Lion’s Heartbeat skins for 2,800 Units—roughly $20. Given that each skin individually costs nearly that much, the bundle offers solid value.
