If you've been longing for a return to Tony Hawk's Underground, you're in good company — even Tony himself is actively pushing for a remake.
"I'm always hopeful," Hawk told ScreenRant. "Ultimately it's not my decision. I'll advocate as much as possible, but I'm collaborating with a major corporation that knows this business inside out."
When asked whether Activision has hinted at future plans following Pro Skater 3 + 4's launch, Hawk played it coy, responding: "We haven't even launched this title yet!"
Originally released in 2003, Tony Hawk's Underground earned a stellar 9.2 score from us thanks to its "flawless level design" and "exceptional gameplay." It marked a series first by allowing players to dismount their boards and explore environments on foot.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 launches on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on July 11, 2025. Activision is curating the official THPS 3 + 4 Spotify playlist, updating it regularly as more tracks are confirmed — track the latest additions via our complete soundtrack guide.
"Amid a renaissance of early-2000s game revivals, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 appears poised to join this year's lineup of standout remakes," we noted in IGN's hands-on preview.
"From its painstaking recreation of PS2-era magic to modern refinements, an electrifying soundtrack, and heartfelt homage to the series' roots, THPS 3 + 4 deserves attention — whether you're a skate enthusiast, action sports fan, or just seeking pure, uncomplicated fun. It might be the year's smoothest kickflip."
