Upcoming Update Adds New Building, Jukebox, and More
Schedule 1 continues to hold a strong presence among Steam’s top-selling titles, and with regular updates, it shows no signs of slowing down. On May 1, TVGS solo developer Tyler shared a sneak peek of the game’s next major update via a post on Twitter (X).
In his update preview, Tyler released several images offering a glimpse into the upcoming patch, which is nearing open beta status. The visuals showcase a brand-new building labeled "Stash and Dash," a newly introduced Jukebox—believed to allow players to customize the in-game soundtrack—and an intriguing empty corridor hinting at even more to come.
While no official release date has been announced for this update, it will first be rolled out to the beta branch before reaching full launch. Interested players can opt-in by adjusting their Steam Beta participation settings for Schedule 1 to “beta.” Although further details are still under wraps, fans can explore the game’s Trello board for additional insights into TVGS's development roadmap and future content plans.
Plans for Map Expansion
Last week, Tyler hosted his very first Twitch dev stream, where he interacted with fans and provided a deeper look into his creative process and long-term vision for Schedule 1. During the live session, he demonstrated some of the 3D modeling work currently in progress and discussed his ideas for a potential map expansion.
According to Tyler, the plan includes introducing a "swampy, slummy" district while also expanding the upscale side of town with additional cliffside housing. Once those areas are completed, attention will shift to developing the mysterious island located across from the main map.
While these additions promise exciting enhancements to the game world, they may take time to materialize due to the fact that Tyler is working solo. Even so, the community remains enthusiastic and supportive of the game’s ongoing evolution.
