What is Snap Recap?
New for 2024, Snap Recap compiles your Snapchat memories into a short video highlighting a single snap from each month. It’s a lighthearted retrospective, not a statistical breakdown of your usage. The recap seamlessly transitions into your other Snapchat Memories, allowing you to explore past events.
How to View Your 2024 Snap Recap
Accessing your Snap Recap is simple. On the main camera screen, swipe up to open Memories. You'll find your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.
Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to play your personalized recap. The video automatically advances through each month's featured snap. You can tap the screen to manually navigate. Share, save, or edit your Snap Recap just like any other Snap.
Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?
If your Snap Recap isn't showing up, don't worry. Snapchat confirms a staggered rollout. Your recap might simply not be ready yet. The number of saved Snaps plays a role in whether a recap is generated. Infrequent use might prevent a recap from being created. Unfortunately, requesting a recap isn't currently an option.
