Following the release of a Deadpool-themed console and controller to celebrate the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie, Xbox has introduced another anatomy-inspired design—this one modeled after Wolverine’s rugged, yet surprisingly sculpted physique.
"Alright, bub, we heard you loud and clear! Ahead of Marvel Studios’ ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hitting theaters on July 26, and after launching the special Deadpool Xbox controller, fans worldwide asked for a controller featuring Logan’s Adamantium-strong rear—of course, tastefully recreated," Xbox stated in a blog post.
"And since we never back down from a friendly challenge (and definitely not because we're scared of his temper), our team got straight to work crafting this Wolverine-inspired Xbox Wireless Controller."
Unlike the Deadpool bundle, the Wolverine Cheeky Controller won’t come with a matching Xbox console. Still, it showcases a vibrant yellow and blue color scheme inspired by the superhero's iconic suit. Just like the Deadpool version, the back panel is shaped to mimic Wolverine’s adamantium-enhanced backside.
According to Xbox, the controller offers a "firm yet surprisingly comfortable grip." If the textured back isn’t your style, don’t worry—the magnetic back plate is removable. You can even swap it with Deadpool’s back panel if you happen to own both limited editions.
How to Enter the Giveaway
To enter the Wolverine controller giveaway, watch for the official promotional post on Microsoft’s Instagram page featuring #MicrosoftCheekySweepstakes. When you spot it, just like the post and reply using the same hashtag.
As of now, the giveaway post hasn’t been published, and details such as the submission deadline and number of winners are still unknown.
Although the official rules for the Deadpool giveaway mention "Two (2) custom Xbox Wireless Controllers inspired by Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine," it’s not confirmed whether the Wolverine-themed controller is included as part of the prize.
