Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic will launch the seventh and final phase of Season of Discovery on January 28, introducing exciting new content with the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the Scourge Invasions event. Just over a week later, on February 6, guilds in World of Warcraft Classic will have the opportunity to tackle the legendary Naxxramas raid, which promises new challenges and twists for players to conquer.
Phase 7 of Season of Discovery arrives just two months after Phase 6, which brought players back to Silithus to undertake the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and face the Ahn'qiraj raids. During their adventures in Ahn'qiraj, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure in the desert ruins, speculated to be Xal'atath, the main antagonist of World of Warcraft: The War Within. Although the Shadowy Figure only offered cryptic comments about the Old Gods in Phase 6, it remains to be seen if this enigmatic character will make a final appearance in Phase 7.
While Phase 7 marks the conclusion of Season of Discovery, it brings a wealth of new content for World of Warcraft Classic players. Scheduled to go live on Tuesday, January 28, following server maintenance, Phase 7 will allow players to explore the new Karazhan Crypts 5-player dungeon located in Deadwind Pass. This dungeon delves beneath the iconic Karazhan tower, which later became a 10-player raid in The Burning Crusade. Additionally, the Scourge Invasions event will see hordes of undead monsters attacking various zones and cities across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players can participate in new Scourge Invasion quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands, earning Necrotic Runes from defeated undead enemies to purchase new consumable items.
