- Wuthering Waves marks its first anniversary with global celebrations
- Last month, fans worldwide gathered for exclusive in-person events
- Highlights included cosplay contests, live soundtrack performances, and buffet dining
One year after launch, Kuro Games is naturally celebrating the success of their action RPG Wuthering Waves. But instead of limiting festivities to in-game activities, they brought the excitement into the real world through a series of global fan events held throughout the past month.
From Japan to China, and even a North American event in Los Angeles as you might expect, Rovers enjoyed a packed schedule. The celebrations featured a cosplay competition followed by a live performance of the Wuthering Waves soundtrack.
Attendees were also treated to a buffet meal. For those feeling envious, there's no need to fret—plenty more excitement lies ahead. Version 2.4 of Wuthering Waves is approaching fast, with a recent livestream unveiling all the upcoming content.
WaveyVersion 2.4, titled Lightly We Toss the Crown, is shaping up to be a highly appealing update. Players can anticipate two new major Resonators—Cartethyia and Lupa—alongside new story chapters set in the Septimont region.
In a genre dominated by major titles, it's worth acknowledging when a game distinguishes itself from the competition. Although Kuro Games faces strong rivalry from genre leader MiHoYo, fans clearly appreciate the engaging alternative that Wuthering Waves provides.
