Squares: The Daily Word Strand Puzzle Challenge!
Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word puzzle game blending strategy and skill. Your mission: complete squares on a grid to form words and rack up the highest possible score.
Gameplay:
Connect letters in any direction – up, down, left, right, or diagonally – to create words. The objective is to uncover all the words hidden within the letter grid and accumulate points.
Rules:
- Scoring: Earn one point for each letter in a valid word (minimum 4 letters). A five-letter word earns 5 points.
- Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
- Word Restrictions: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and uncommon terms are excluded.
Bonus Rounds:
- Bonus Words: Discover obscure, archaic, or slang words! These don't add to your main score but appear on a separate bonus list. The hunt continues even after finding all main words.
- Word of the Day: Each puzzle features a special, often lengthy bonus word. Uncovering it rewards you with two extra hints!

Change Your Perspective:
Rotate the grid left or right using the buttons in the bottom right corner. A different viewpoint can unlock hidden words!
Strategic Hints:
After discovering 40% of the words, a helpful hint appears: numbers on each letter indicate how many words begin with that letter. A missing number means no words start with that letter. Letters turning orange are no longer used in main words but might still appear in bonus words.
Hint System:
Each puzzle offers 3 to 5 hints (lightbulb icons). Using a hint reveals the first letter of a random word and its search direction. The number of hints depends on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends grants one extra hint!
