This casual game app offers a fun, single-smartphone experience for one or two players! Enjoy a brain-teasing game of rock-paper-scissors shogi with a friend. The basic rules are simple, similar to rock-paper-scissors, but with the added challenge of defeating the opponent's king, like in chess. Even shogi novices will find this easy to pick up and play. Perfect for school friends, colleagues, or anyone looking for a fun and engaging pastime!
Basic Rules:
The game uses rock (goo), scissors (snip), paper (per), and the king. The rules of attack are as follows:
- Goo attacks Scissors
- Scissors attacks Paper
- Paper attacks Goo
- The King can attack any piece.
Winning involves defeating the opponent's king. The king can move one square in any direction.
Piece Movement & Special Rules:
- The game features four distinct pieces.
- Attacking and being attacked prevents further movement of that piece in the same turn. Captured pieces can be placed on vacant spaces. When a piece is attacked, it's vulnerable to capture.
- Attacking a piece of the same type results in a draw (Aiko). Aiko allows you to place your piece on top of the opponent's, effectively sealing their move (unless the opponent can attack the overlaid piece).
- Successfully reaching the opposite side of the board upgrades your piece! The upgraded king can move one square in any direction.
Single-Player Mode:
This game offers a single-player mode for honing your skills. There are approximately 20 stages to conquer! Can you master rock-paper-scissors shogi and clear all the stages?
