Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, a delightful opportunity to add the adorable Applin to your collection. Whether you're a fan of new Pokémon or on the hunt for those elusive shinies, this event is not to be missed. Dive in to learn everything you need to know about this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars for the Sweet Discoveries event, kicking off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and running until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when Applin, a charming Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region, makes its much-anticipated debut in Pokémon GO.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, to evolve it into Appletun, gather the same amount of candies along with 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, keep collecting those candies and apples.
Speaking of apples, they're crucial for Applin's evolution and will appear in the wild during the event. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these apples increase around areas with Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Did you know that Applin spends its entire life inside an apple? This clever little Pokémon hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as a simple piece of fruit. With its adorable design, Applin is undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire Pokémon GO roster.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, don't miss out on the new avatar items available in the shop. You can grab the Applin Headband and the Applin Apron to show off your love for this new Pokémon. As for event bonuses, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch during the event.
Keep an eye out for increased chances to encounter Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. There's also a higher likelihood of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another sweet addition to the event is the berry drops. Catch a Delibird or Skwovet, and they'll reward you with berries. So, if you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and get ready to participate in the Sweet Discoveries event.
