It appears that Netflix's gaming division is facing challenges, as the platform is set to remove a significant number of mobile games from its library next month. Nearly 20% of the streaming service's mobile game collection will be discontinued.
When Will Netflix Remove the Games?
On July 15th, 2025, over 20 games will be removed from the platform. Netflix subscribers have until July 14th to enjoy these titles for the final time.
The list of departing games is extensive and diverse, featuring several relatively recent additions to the platform. Carmen Sandiego, for example, was introduced as recently as January 2025.
The removal includes major titles like the Monument Valley series - all three games are being pulled. Monument Valley 3 had even enjoyed a period of exclusivity on Netflix Games before its announcement for other platforms.
Other popular titles facing removal include Death's Door and Katana Zero, alongside acclaimed indie games such as Braid Anniversary Edition, The Case of the Golden Idol, and The Rise of the Golden Idol.
Even children's games like CoComelon: Play with JJ and LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed are being discontinued. The list also features licensed IP games including Battleship, Rainbow Six: SMOL, and SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.
Another notable title is Supergiant Games' Hades, currently available exclusively on iOS through Netflix. The remaining games scheduled for removal are Dumb Ways to Die, Ghost Detective, Ludo King, Diner Out: Merge Cafe, Vineyard Valley, TED Tumblewords, and Raji: An Ancient Epic.
This Isn't the First Round of Cuts
These removals cap a difficult year for Netflix Games, which has seen multiple cancellations over the past nine months. Discontinued projects include Don't Starve Together, Crashlands 2, and Tales of the Shire.
The company recently terminated Netflix Stories, despite earlier plans to expand the service with content based on original shows and films. These latest cuts follow a previous round of game removals in December, which came shortly after Netflix closed its in-house AAA game studio last October.
Given this pattern, there's speculation about whether Netflix might eventually exit the gaming business entirely. The future remains uncertain, but for now, users can explore the remaining game selection on the Google Play Store.
