Sweet Discoveries runs from April 24th to 29th, introducing the charming Applin, a Dragon/Grass-type Pokémon. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, especially around Mossy Lures, and may trigger Applin encounters.
During the event, expect to see wild spawns of Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer chances to encounter themed Pokémon like Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, will provide Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid option also includes extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters.
Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If you prefer power over cuteness, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend from April 26th to 27th, where you can encounter Dynamax Entei for the first time.
