Further Dawnwalker Details Coming Soon
Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded by key figures from The Witcher 3, has secured a global publishing agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment. This partnership will bring Dawnwalker, a new action RPG, to PC, PS5, and Xbox in 2025.
Dawnwalker is a mature, story-driven AAA action RPG set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe. Expect more information about the game's features and story in the coming months. Established in 2022, Rebel Wolves aims to redefine the RPG experience with a strong narrative focus.
"Rebel Wolves is a unique blend of experience and fresh talent. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, renowned for its commitment to RPGs and support of new IPs, is the ideal partner," commented Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, Tomasz Tinc. "We share a common vision, and their track record speaks volumes. We eagerly anticipate collaborating to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players worldwide."
Bandai Namco views Dawnwalker as a valuable addition to its portfolio. Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, VP of business development, stated, "This marks a significant step in our Western market strategy. By combining our expertise, we'll deliver this debut title to a global audience."
CD Projekt Red veteran Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, leads Rebel Wolves as creative director. The game, based on an original IP by co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek (a nine-year CDPR veteran), is anticipated to have a scope comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, but with a more non-linear narrative.
Tomaszkiewicz previously highlighted the game's design: "We aim for a replayable experience with diverse choices and opportunities for experimentation. It's a privilege to work with such talented individuals, and I'm excited to share our progress."
