The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed through online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the upcoming content, allowing dataminers to uncover specifics. Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable via the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle includes unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement both skins.
A new boss event will also launch on January 17th. One player will transform into a colossal Godzilla, wielding abilities such as atomic breath. Players must collaborate to defeat this powerful foe. The player inflicting the most damage will receive a medallion granting a unique ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time and includes:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two Pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One Emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks
Beyond Godzilla, Fortnite's roster of collaborations continues to expand. Hints suggest the arrival of the popular vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between the official Hatsune Miku account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation. In addition to a standard Hatsune Miku skin and a virtual concert, a stylized pickaxe and a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant are also anticipated.
