How to Begin "The Lion's Crest"
Once you've finished the tutorial and entered the open world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, seek out the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He'll present you with a cryptic riddle and the crafting recipe for Brunswick's polearm. Gather the necessary materials and forge the weapon at the local blacksmith.
Deciphering the Riddle
The riddle, a key to the quest's progression, reads:
"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."
This leads you to Trosky Castle. Exit through the northern gates and head north, eventually entering a forest.
Follow the path, watching the left side. You'll find rocky formations with crevices. Traverse these to discover a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the rock to uncover the first piece of Brunswick's armor and two treasure maps.

Continue along the road from the chapel westward to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to locate a wolf den. Search the trees above the den for a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick's armor.

This map directs you to the outpost at Vidlak Pond. Behind the fisherman's house, find a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest rests near a cross on these rocks.
Map 3 Location
Fast travel to Zhelejov, then leave the tavern and cross the two bridges toward Tachov. After the second bridge, take a small path leading to the river and forest. Follow this until you spot a hill; examine the large tree at the summit to find bones and a bag containing armor.
Map 4 Location
The final map leads you to a hill between the Nomads' Camp and Bozhena's Hut. Look for rocks with a cross on top to find the last piece of Brunswick's armor.
