Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode spawn delay. Following community feedback, the January 9th update reverted the controversial alteration that extended the time between rounds and zombie spawns after five looped rounds on round 15. This change, initially implemented on January 3rd, had frustrated players due to its impact on kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The update also includes:
-
Citadelle des Morts Fixes: Numerous bug fixes for the Citadelle des Morts map in Directed Mode, addressing issues with quest progression, incorrect guidance, and visual glitches. A critical fix resolves crashes associated with the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud.
-
Shadow Rift Buffs: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod received significant buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment). Its cooldown timer has also been reduced by 25%.
Further improvements are slated for the upcoming Season 2 update on January 28th. This includes fixes for remaining bugs, such as the Vermin double-attack issue.
Additional Patch Notes Highlights:
-
Global Changes: Fixes for visual issues with Maya's "Joyride" skin, the Events tab, and in-game audio for event milestones.
-
Multiplayer: Increased XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Various stability improvements.
-
Zombies LTM Adjustments: The Dead Light, Green Light LTM now includes Liberty Falls and a higher round cap of 20.
Treyarch's response demonstrates a commitment to player feedback and a proactive approach to maintaining a positive and rewarding Zombies experience. The reversal of the Directed Mode change underscores their dedication to addressing community concerns.
