Serial Cleaner, the crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. But will this be a simple port, or a fully revamped experience? Only time will tell.
The game plunges you into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, your job is to meticulously erase the evidence of mob violence – disposing of bodies, cleaning blood, and generally making the crime scene disappear. All while dodging watchful police officers.
Our previous review (2019) noted its potential but also its shortcomings. Developer Plug-in Digital now takes on publishing duties for this mobile re-release. Will this be a chance to address earlier criticisms and deliver a polished product?
A Second Chance?
Available for pre-registration now, with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the extent of the improvements remains unclear. While a significant overhaul would be welcome, given the time elapsed since the original launch, such hopes might be unrealistic.
The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile re-release feels somewhat underwhelming. However, for Android users who missed out or iOS players facing compatibility issues, this could be a welcome return.
