Initially announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode first season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it seems to center around Dante from the era of the first three Devil May Cry games, though official connections to the game's canon remain unconfirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who is notably the voice of Nero in the video game franchise.
The latest installment in the Devil May Cry game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative dormancy following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive review of Devil May Cry 5 here.
