The beloved mobile game Disney Mirrorverse, which masterfully combined Disney and Pixar characters into a unique universe, has officially announced its End of Service (EOS). Developer Kabam has set the final shutdown date for December 16th, 2024. As of now, the game has been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases have ceased. Players have roughly three months left to immerse themselves in the game before the servers go offline permanently.
Did You Ever Play It?
Disney Mirrorverse debuted in June 2022, offering an action-packed RPG experience where players could team up with reimagined versions of their favorite Disney and Pixar characters. For those still engaged with the game, Kabam recommends wrapping up the final storyline before the game vanishes forever.
The initial buzz around the game was palpable, especially among Disney enthusiasts. However, the extended two-year early access beta phase and the scarcity of regular content updates posed challenges in retaining player interest.
And So, Disney Mirrorverse EOS Was Announced!
Despite its innovative concept, Disney Mirrorverse struggled to reach its full potential. The game's demanding shard collection system often required significant financial investment to fully upgrade characters. Yet, the game's character designs stood out, showcasing both creativity and stunning graphics.
The sting of the EOS announcement was felt more sharply following the recent addition of new story content and the introduction of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This sudden shift caught many players off guard. It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Kabam has abruptly ended a game; they previously discontinued Transformers: Forged to Fight and a spin-off of their popular title Marvel Contest of Champions.
