Careful, Simmers! Robin Banks, the infamous Burglar, is back in The Sims 4!
Longtime fans of the Sims franchise will recognize Robin Banks, the mischievous thief returning in the latest update for The Sims 4, available now on PC and consoles. Prepare to safeguard your Sims' valuables! She typically operates under the cover of night, targeting homes while everyone sleeps, but don't be fooled—she's known to attempt daring daylight heists. Stay vigilant!
To thwart Robin's thievery, equip your home with a burglar alarm. Triggering the alarm guarantees a swift police response, leading to Robin's arrest and the recovery of your stolen goods. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the authorities might still save the day. Or, if you prefer a more direct approach... well, vigilante justice is always an option.
The Sims team expressed their excitement, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. A special shout out to our team for making this a reality! Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
Despite being a decade old (The Sims 4), and with the entire franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary, the game continues to thrive. Last year alone, The Sims 4 attracted over 15 million new players.
EA's Q2 earnings report revealed that The Sims 4, initially a premium title, took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, its transition to free-to-play in 2022 resulted in a staggering 31 million new players immediately, reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And for those wondering, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5.
