The popular farming simulator is about to become more realistic than ever. Giants Software has officially announced Farming Simulator VR, a virtual reality adaptation that fully immerses players in agricultural life.
Described as an entirely fresh farming adventure, the VR version requires players to personally handle crop cultivation and harvesting using authentic equipment, manage greenhouse vegetables, conduct vehicle maintenance, and more – all to build and expand their virtual farm empire.
The announcement has been well-received by the franchise's fanbase. Many suggest using Farming Simulator VR as an educational tool, while others pose the critical inquiry:
What happens if you stand in front of an operating combine harvester?
Mark your calendars for February 28 – the exclusive release date for Farming Simulator VR on Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro headsets.
Future virtual farmers can look forward to:
- The complete agricultural cycle – from planting and harvesting to packaging and selling crops
- Cultivating tomatoes, eggplants, strawberries, and other produce in greenhouses
- Licensed machinery from industry leaders like Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and John Deere
- The ability to repair and service vehicles in your personal workshop
- Enhanced realism with power-washing equipment maintenance
