Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you initially unarmed. Fortunately, you can acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without cost. This guide details how to obtain this valuable weapon.
After parting ways with Hans, you'll need to find a way to attend the wedding. While you can pursue work as a blacksmith or miller, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map.
The blacksmith's workshop is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path as it curves north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is hidden within; you'll find a target with arrows. Collect these for ammunition.
To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew and mushrooms nearby. Once you've gathered your supplies, continue with your quest.
Alternative Acquisition Methods
While purchasable from Huntsman’s Son Vitek in Tachov, buying the bow isn't cost-effective given its proximity to the free version. Vitek, however, offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.
Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly enhances combat, especially given the game's difficulty settings. The melee combat, while similar to the first game, might not appeal to all players.
After acquiring the bow, whether free or purchased, you can proceed with the blacksmith job (saving after forging a sword), or continue the main quest by working for the miller.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
