New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all still waiting with bated breath for Nintendo Switch 2 updates, there's some fantastic news about a fan-favorite series. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled a gameplay presentation for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing some intriguing details.

The showcased footage highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a lightning-fast, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each offering support in combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises a wealth of hidden islands and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's conclusion: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing considerable criticism from SEGA. This is excellent news, and we only have to wait approximately six weeks until the game's official launch.
