Henry Cavill's 'Tremendous' James Bond Audition Seemingly Appears Online

Henry Cavill's 2005 James Bond audition tapes have surfaced online, offering a glimpse into what could have been. Shared by the Ron South YouTube channel, an avid filmmaker's account with 1,890 subscribers, the tapes also feature auditions from Sam Worthington, Rupert Friend, and Anthony Starr. Cavill's audition, however, has garnered significant attention over the years, with many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, praising his performance as "tremendous." Campbell reportedly favored Cavill, but ultimately, other decision-makers chose Daniel Craig. While Cavill missed out on the iconic role, he later starred in the spy thriller Argylle, although the film received mixed reviews. His career continues to flourish, with notable roles as Superman for DC, Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher, and various other projects.
