HoYoverse is preparing for the arrival of *Honkai: Star Rail* Version 3.4, scheduled to launch on July 2nd under the title “For the Sun is Set to Die.” The patch notes have officially dropped, revealing exciting updates and the return of several beloved characters.

The Story Takes a Major Turn
Phainon, a respected figure among the Chrysos Heirs in Aedes Elysiae, is now becoming a playable character. As you journey through his personal arc, you’ll uncover his origins—from his early days as a warrior to his current role within the Flame-Chase.
His evolution unlocks powerful new abilities themed around Origination, Calamity, and the Foundation Titans, adding depth and strategy to gameplay.
Meanwhile, in Penacony, players receive an intriguing invitation from Old Oti of the Alfalfa Family. This letter unveils a special contest known as Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War—a tournament where seven participants summon legendary figures from Penacony’s past to battle as their Servants.
The event kicks off on July 11th and features notable contenders like Aventurine, Mr. Boothill, and Miss Robin. This update marks a significant collaboration between *Honkai: Star Rail* and *Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works.*
Three Heroic Spirits will enter the fray: Saber, Archer, and Lancer. Saber is a Wind-type 5-star Destruction character, while Archer is a Quantum-type Hunt character available for free starting July 11th. Players will have until the end of Version 3.6 to claim him.

What Else Is Coming?
The first half of the update will reintroduce Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle, while the second half welcomes back Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade. Alongside their return, characters such as Silver Wolf, Kafka, Jingliu, and Blade are receiving meaningful buffs and upgrades.
