Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week, Johnson recently awoke from a coma.
A GoFundMe campaign, exceeding $174,653 in donations for medical expenses, features a video message from Johnson himself. He expresses profound gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."
Johnson was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit event when the incident occurred. His absence raised concerns, leading his wife to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

In his video, Johnson reflects, "Rumors of my demise, well they weren't exaggerated. It was very close, very close. But I'm still here." He credits his wife's quick thinking and the actions of his son, friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and the hotel security for saving his life.
Johnson extends his thanks to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, to Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals parent company chairman) for a substantial donation, and to Glasser and Elliker for their instrumental role in organizing the GoFundMe. He also expresses deep appreciation to Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say that I'm your friend. I am," he affirmed, "Always will be. Love you guys." Finally, he conveyed his love and gratitude to his fans for their donations and support.
"It's going to be a while as I work my way back, but I'm coming back," Johnson assures his fans. "I look forward to seeing and having you all hear me then. Cheers."
Beyond his extensive work with Bethesda, Johnson boasts a diverse career in film and television. His recent video game credits include Ron Hope in Starfield, as well as memorable roles such as Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, several Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4.
