Jurassic World Dominion incorporates a scene from Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel, a detail confirmed by screenwriter David Koepp. In an interview with Variety, Koepp explained that, lacking a source novel for Dominion, he revisited Crichton's work for inspiration. This led to the inclusion of a previously unused sequence.
Koepp stated that this particular scene "was always intended for the original movie but didn't fit." He refrained from specifying the scene, fueling fan speculation. Several scenes from the novel are now considered strong candidates.
