Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Canker Cure Guide

Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the “Canker” side quest becomes available after completing “The Jaunt.” This quest offers a chance to acquire a mace and some Groschen. Here’s how to complete it.

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To begin “Canker,” speak with Gules in Semine. Conveniently, you can initiate this quest during Lord Semine and Agnes’s wedding, while Gules is enjoying a drink. Alternatively, find him on patrol in Semine. Simply ask about his former bandit gang and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker is the first target on your list.

Find and Kill Canker

Accepting the quest marks Canker’s location on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be warned: the path is often patrolled by bandits who may ambush you. Choose your approach: stealth, combat, or a hasty retreat. While these bandits aren't overly challenging, skirmishes can drain your health before the main quest encounter.

Canker’s hideout is nestled within the mountains, easily missed due to a narrow passage. This is similar to accessing the Hermit’s house in “Wedding Crashers.” Prepare for a fight before entering, as several bandits, including Canker, await. Note that some bandits may flee depending on the order you eliminate them, but thorough combat is recommended.

Canker himself doesn't run, ensuring you can complete the objective.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his gang, loot his body. You must acquire the Light Mace, though you're free to take other items. Return to Gules with the mace to complete the quest.

Following “Canker,” wait a full in-game day before speaking to Gules again to start “Handsome Charlie.”
