Crystal Dynamics Unveils Upcoming Legacy of Kain Projects
Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to create two new projects. "We're incredibly excited to be diving back into the world of Nosgoth with these two passion projects," says Ryan Brown of Lost in Cult.
The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia
The Book of Nosgoth, penned by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, promises a comprehensive exploration of Nosgoth. This encyclopedia will delve into its locations, factions, inhabitants, and the epic Kain-Raziel rivalry, offering a detailed timeline of events. Beyond the lore, expect behind-the-scenes glimpses into the Legacy of Kain game development, including concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews. The book will cover all five Legacy of Kain titles, providing a rich history of the series' creation.
Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A New Tabletop RPG
Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan transports players to Nosgoth during the Sarafan Order's crusade against vampires. Utilizing the MÖRK BORG ruleset, this TTRPG offers a streamlined, high-stakes experience. Players embody Sarafan warrior priests, choosing from six playable classes, wielding unique weapons and spells, and battling a bestiary of nocturnal horrors across Nosgoth's diverse landscape. The campaign focuses on vampire hunts, uncovering Nosgoth's hidden history, and venturing into the spectral realm.
