Get Ready for Another Chance to Hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Returns
Monster Hunter Wilds is giving players another shot at its Open Beta, featuring new monsters and content for both returning and first-time participants! Missed the first beta? Don't worry – this second round runs during the first two weeks of February.
New Monster, New Opportunities
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the second Open Beta Test on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. This second phase offers a fresh chance to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, you'll get to hunt the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster from previous games!
Carryover and Rewards
Character data from the first beta can be carried over to this one, and then transferred to the full game upon release. Note that game progress won't be saved. As a thank you for participating, beta testers receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progression.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating that many players missed the first or wanted a repeat experience. While recent community updates detailed planned improvements, these changes are still under development and won't be included in this beta.
Prepare for the February 28th, 2025 release of Monster Hunter Wilds on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Happy Hunting!
