Capcom has recently rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, addressing crucial improvements and fixes for the game. This update focuses on resolving various progression blockers and fixing a range of bugs, although it does not include any performance enhancements as detailed in the patch notes below.
Despite the ongoing performance issues on PC, which have contributed to the game's 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved remarkable commercial success. It sold an impressive 8 million copies in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game of all time. On Steam, it reached a peak concurrent player count of 1,384,608, surpassing the highs of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In comparison, Monster Hunter: World peaked at 334,684.
Looking ahead, a title update is scheduled for early April, promising to introduce a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting adventures.
