Monster Train, Similar to Slay the Spire, Now Available on Android

Monster Train, the acclaimed roguelite deck-building game, has now made its way to Android devices. Initially launched on PC in 2020, followed by console releases and an iOS version in 2022, it's finally accessible to Android users. Often likened to Slay the Spire due to its genre and engaging gameplay, Monster Train brings a unique twist to the deck-building experience.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

In Monster Train, you embark on a thrilling journey aboard a train headed into the icy depths of hell. Your mission is to safeguard the last burning pyre from celestial adversaries. What sets Monster Train apart is its innovative use of three vertical lanes, allowing you to manage battles across multiple fronts simultaneously, a departure from the traditional single battlefield approach.

As you progress, you'll unlock over 250 cards and have the opportunity to explore five distinct monster clans. Each clan offers a unique gameplay style, and you can strategically combine two clans in a single run. Furthermore, every clan features ten levels of upgrades, enabling you to enhance your cards and strengthen your champions, who are pivotal in your strategy and can receive multiple upgrades.

The Android version of Monster Train is packed with all the latest updates, including the Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes expansions. Wild Mutations introduces 35 new mutators and new difficulty settings, while Friends & Foes adds fresh champions, bosses, cards, and artefacts to enrich your gameplay experience.

Additionally, the Last Divinity DLC enhances the game's replayability with the introduction of the Wurmkin clan, which you can unlock by reaching Covenant level 1. This DLC also features the Pact Shards mechanic, offering powerful boosts as you prepare to face the formidable final boss, 'The Last Divinity.'

Will You Try It Out?

Monster Train on Android is fully playable offline, even in airplane mode. You can purchase the full version for $10, with in-app purchases primarily focused on unlocking the complete game. Once you buy it through your Google account, your purchase will carry over across devices, thanks to cloud save support. However, it's worth noting that there is no controller support for this version. If you're intrigued, you can find Monster Train on the Google Play Store.
