Nintendo's 2025 Lineup: Beyond the Switch 2

Early 2025 Game Releases
The report confirms several first-party titles for 2025. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD launches January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are also slated for release this year, though specific dates remain unannounced.
More details are expected at the Nintendo Direct, airing Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. While the focus is likely the Switch 2, fans hope for new exclusive game reveals. Broadcast times will be announced later via official Nintendo channels.
Hands-on with the Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 is launching in the latter half of 2025. To build anticipation, "Nintendo Switch 2 Experience" events are scheduled in 15 global locations (including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam) starting in April. Super Nintendo World Expansion
Expanding its IP reach, Nintendo is opening a new Super Nintendo World theme park at Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025. This will be the second US location, following the Universal Studios Hollywood opening. The Orlando park will feature Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country themes. A Singapore location is also planned for 2025, though details are limited.
