Pause Monster Hunter Rise Quests: A Guide

Author : Sadie Mar 13,2025

While Monster Hunter Wilds shines brightest when shared with friends online, solo hunts can be just as rewarding. But what if real life calls? Here's how to pause the game.

Pausing the Game During Quests and Hunts

Pausing Monster Hunter Wilds

Pausing in Monster Hunter Wilds is easy. Simply open the menu by pressing the Options button, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select "Pause Game" with the X button. This works even during hunts or combat! Resume your adventure by pressing the circle button or R3. A lifesaver for those unexpected real-world interruptions.

Multiplayer and Pausing: A Different Story

Unfortunately, pausing isn't an option in multiplayer mode. If you're in a lobby or party with others, the game remains active. If you need a break, try to find a safe spot for your character to avoid taking unnecessary damage. Remember, monster health pools are larger in multiplayer, so extended AFK periods could put your team at a disadvantage.
