Pokémon Unite features six ranks, each divided into multiple classes for granular progression. Higher ranks typically have more classes than lower ones. Crucially, rank progression only happens in ranked matches, not quick or standard battles.

All Pokémon Unite Ranks Explained

  • Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
  • Great Rank (4 Classes)
  • Expert Rank (5 Classes)
  • Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
  • Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
  • Master Rank

Getting Started

Begin your ranked journey in Beginner Rank, comprising three classes. To unlock ranked matches, you'll need Trainer Level 6, a Fair Play score of 80, and five Pokémon licenses.

Performance Points and Diamond Points

Ranked matches award Performance Points (5-15 per match based on performance, plus bonuses for sportsmanship, participation, and winning streaks). Each rank has a Performance Point cap. Once reached, you earn one Diamond Point per match, crucial for rank advancement. Here's the breakdown:

  • Beginner Rank: 80 Points
  • Great Rank: 120 Points
  • Expert Rank: 200 Points
  • Veteran Rank: 300 Points
  • Ultra Rank: 400 Points
  • Master Rank: N/A

Rank Advancement and Rewards

Four Diamond Points upgrade your class within a rank. Maxing out your class within a rank propels you to the next rank's first class. You gain a Diamond Point for each ranked match win and lose one for each loss. Players with maxed Performance Points also earn a Diamond Point per match.

Seasonal rewards include Aeos Tickets (more for higher ranks), used in the Aeos Emporium. Specific ranks may offer additional rotating seasonal rewards.

Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices and Nintendo Switch. Good luck climbing the ranks and securing those coveted rewards!
