An Unforgettable Pokémon Experience
Pokémon GO Fest offers trainers worldwide exclusive items, enhanced gameplay, and incredible bonuses. In-person events feature unique city-specific experiences. Tickets are required for both in-person and online participation.
Expect rare Pokémon encounters impossible to find through regular gameplay, like the 2024 event's Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. Shiny Pokémon will also appear at increased rates, spread across different city locations based on their natural habitats.
In-person attendees can look forward to exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing with fellow trainers. While specifics for 2025 are still under wraps, expect a similar level of excitement to previous years.
January Events: Fashion Week & Shadow Raid Day
Niantic also announced two exciting January events:
- Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) - January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni! Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon will appear, and you might even spot a fashionable Croagunk!
- Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. Catch Shadow Ho-Oh in Five-Star Shadow Raids! A $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will be more frequent, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
