Prochek or Olbram: Who to Help in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Mice & Frogs Quest)

Author : Noah Apr 05,2025

In the early stages of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter the opportunity to engage in side quests within two rival settlements, choosing to support either Prochek or Olbram in the Mice or Frogs quests. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate these choices and their consequences.

Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the tension between the people of Tachov and Zhelejov is palpable. Fortunately, you can undertake the majority of quests for both Prochek and Olbram if you manage your actions wisely. This approach allows you to delve deeper into the lore and narratives of both settlements. While it's not possible to achieve a favorable outcome for both sides simultaneously, exploring both questlines enriches your gaming experience by revealing more of what the game has to offer.

Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

If you're inclined to align with just one faction, the choice between Prochek and Olbram doesn't significantly impact the overall game. Both characters aim to sabotage the other, and your decision might hinge on which task you find more engaging.

Olbram's quest involves stealing the Zhelejov maypole, which requires stealth and possibly charming the guard, Henrik, away from his post at night. On the other hand, Prochek's task is to paint Olbram's bull blue, necessitating the acquisition of a dye recipe from Radovan and dye from the tailor in Troskowitz.

In terms of difficulty, Prochek's task might be more challenging, especially early in the game, due to potential limitations in groschen and Speech skills. If you're struggling with these, siding with Olbram could be a smoother path. Below, I'll detail both questlines to help you make an informed decision.

How to Start Mice for Prochek in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To initiate the Mice quest, simply converse with Prochek in Tachov. If he's not immediately visible, head to the local inn and speak with the innkeeper to locate him.

Get the Dye and Lullaby Potion

After speaking with Prochek, travel to Troskowitz and visit Bartoshek the tailor to purchase the necessary dye. For the Lullaby Potion, you have two options: work as an apprentice blacksmith under Radovan in Tachov or use your charm to obtain the recipe from him. The potion requires oil, poppy, and thistle, which you can gather from the garden outside the apothecary in Troskowitz.

Once you've brewed the potion, head to Zhelejov and pour it into the bull's trough. Wait for the bull to fall asleep, then approach and paint it blue. After completing this task, return to Prochek to report your success. You can then speak with Olbram to start the Frogs quest and assist him in retaliating against Tachov.

How to Start Frogs for Olbram in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To begin the Frogs quest, find Old Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov and agree to retrieve the maypole for him.

Steal the Maypole

Approach Tachov in the evening and stealthily move towards the maypole. You'll encounter Henrik, the guard. You can either knock him out or, if your Speech skill is high enough, charm him by discussing Manka. Persuade Henrik to leave his post for a secret date with Manka, whom you'll need to inform at the inn. Once Henrik departs, climb the maypole and cut it down.

Return to Olbram to report your success. He'll then request one more task: chase the sheep out of the pasture in Tachov and administer a digestive potion to Alshik. At this juncture, you can either continue with Olbram's plan or inform Prochek, effectively ending both quests and the rivalry's antics.
