NetEase Games and Naked Rain have officially revealed the title of their previously enigmatic Project Mugen: Ananta. A new PV and teaser trailer showcase the urban, open-world RPG, offering a clearer picture of its gameplay and setting.
The preview video highlights Nova City, a sprawling metropolis ripe for exploration. It features a diverse cast of characters facing a looming threat from otherworldly forces of Chaos.
While comparisons to MiHoYo's titles, particularly Zenless Zone Zero, are inevitable, Ananta distinguishes itself through its unique movement mechanics. The PV showcases impressive traversal abilities, raising questions about the extent of free-roaming exploration within the city's verticality – potentially offering Spider-Man-esque movement across rooftops and streets.
Ananta aims to deliver the blend of charming characters and dynamic combat prevalent in today's 3D RPGs.
