The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, featuring over 90,000 competitors vying for the title of champion in the year's first international PUBG Mobile esports event. Open Qualifiers began February 13th, offering a platform for emerging talent to compete for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
A staggering $500,000 prize pool fuels the competition, demanding teams prove their mettle through multiple rounds before challenging established PUBG Mobile esports organizations. This amateur-focused tournament ensures fresh talent takes center stage.
Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, aspiring squads will clash for a place in the PMGO Prelims, facing off against top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately earn the right to challenge PUBG Mobile's elite professionals in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their places based on their impressive PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 performances. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers run until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the exciting beginning of a busy year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC returning later in 2025.
